About the Author

Robyn MacKillop, PhD

Educator,  author, entrepreneur Dr Robyn MacKillop is a lifelong learner. Learning  to inform. Learning to grow. Learning to move forward. Sometimes,  learning to pass a test to move to the next phase in life.

She  earned her bachelor’s degree in 1995. She went on to earn an MBA from  Willamette University’s Atkinson School of Management in 1998. She later  chose to earn her teaching credentials and MAT in 2000. She  successfully taught multiple subjects at the high school, college, and  graduate school levels.

And  she thrived with ‘alternative’ students. Students often ignored or  discounted. Students not always treated with the proper respect by other  teachers.

Robyn  became an expert in online teaching and curriculum development. And she  earned her PhD in 2007 in online education and leadership.

In  2016 she had an opportunity to return to college education, focusing on  sharing her knowledge and skills with GED students. Much like the  alternative students she taught years before, these students connected  with her. And now they are benefiting from Robyn's help to finally earn  their GED.
